I hope this is right place to post this, if not hope the moderators feel free to move it.
I just discovered this board. The wife and I have been avid motocampers for awhile. Starting with our 1st bike camping trip on my Honda CB750F with a 2-man pup tent and a bedroll over 25 years ago. To our cargo trailer pulled behind our Goldwing 1500 about 10 years later. We used a air mattress in a dome tent. Then progressed to Knapper camper trailer, then to a Time Out camper, and now to our 2000 Bunkhouse. We still do strap our stuff the bikes and take off with just a tent sometimes.
I hope to learn some new stuff, and be able to share some of my little knowledge. Looking forward to it.

Marty, Welcome to the site and thanks for introducing yourself. You still riding the 1500 and if so how many miles do you have on her?

I'm sure that with all your years of motocamping under your belt you will fit right in here and help us all as well.

Not on the GL1500 anymore. I had a itch for a Harley, and bought a 1999 Ultra Classic. Well the Ultra gave me lots of problems so we parted ways. In 2000 when I bought the Ultra my wife who is also a rider wanted to ride a touring bike. So we bought a '96 Kawasaki Voyager XII that only had 5600 miles. We modded it some so she could ride it she is only 5' tall. Shorter shocks and cut down seat. She rode it to Sturgis that year and then decided it was too much for her so went back to her 1100 Virago. In 2003 me and the Harley parted ways and I got the Voyager which we still had. Bike is still in her name, but it is my bike. She now has '05 Yamaha 1100 Vstar. Thats the Voyager in avatar.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Yeah we have camped a bit. We will probably keep the 2000 Bunkhouse for another couple of years then maybe get a new one or look and see what else is out there. The new Bunkhouse's have lots on innovations that ours doesn't have.
