Route 66

Thinkin' about doin' the whole thing next April or May, Chicago to Santa Monica. I'm on a Wing and my riding partner is on an Ultra Classic. We plan on camping :tent8: as much as possible. Will we have any trouble finding campgrounds? And any tips or suggestions will be appreciated. Also any ideas on reading material will be most heplful. Thanks,

I can't help much... but, on a trip from TX to CA I stayed at a KOA in Seligman, AZ which I believe is on part of Route 66.

It was nice and clean and a great pizza joint next door... Hope that helps some and welcome to the site.

Actually Seligman is on a section of the original route 66. If you go, you have to go to the Snow Cap drive in there. Pics of it can be seen on my web site on pages 9-10 and pic 420 on page 21 of the Western US trip in the photo Section.
