I have been looking up camping info here and trying to get a good camping trip going. If you remember, I ride a plated WR450, more of a dual sport bike than a cruiser like just about all of you ride. I have been planning a trip with another dual sporter and it was looking like it could be great, untill I blew my motor in a race a few weeks back. Dont really have the funds right now to get it going again, so Ive been tinkering around with an itty bitty birt bike I got on ebay a while back. Its a classic, almost. 86 RM125, which I am going to try to race this weekend in Beatty Nv. There is some kind of bikefest going on there this weekend, so if any of you guys are around and want to see a fool running the track on an antique, feel free to say hi. It would be nice to actually meet some of you guys. I will be # 56s in the 40+ novice class. Here is what the little scooter looks like.

Thanks for letting me ramble and be safe out there,

I lost my clutch on the first lap of the race. I barrowed a friends bike and signed up for the open class race and took 3rd. Back in town, they were having some kind of bike fest, but I didnt see any bikes like you guy's, at least not pulling a trailer to go look at up close. All in all, it was a fun weekend.

It?s amazing how hard it is to keep a bike running when you race compared to when you ride for fun. That?s one reason I don?t race, well that and the fact I?m older.

There are lots of different bikes you can use to motocamp on and I think there is many kinds on this site. In the last few ride reports there was a Wing, ST, GS, Valk?. I like dualsports and once I get my 650 set up there will be a ride report about how it works for me.

John welcome again and hope to see you on the road sometime.

Trailace, I would be very interested in what you come up with on the 650. I just bought a KLR 650 and am working on getting it ready to camp off of next season, all ideas welcome.
