I Created a Word document for anyone that wants to modify and create a business card for handing out to other campers you might meet in your travels. Most of us that camp notice other bikers at other sites but don't always introduce ourselves, maybe this would be a good ice breaker as well as promote the site a little.

The format is a pretty basic, no frills design.

Anyway, if you have any suggestions please shout.

Great idea! I have some blank business card paper at home and I'll modify and print a set tonight.

Joe what you uploaded is not a word document it a jpg file. That is why it is not working. I will see if I have time later to make a new card in word. Here is a pic of my new card.

What I uploaded was the word .doc in the very first post... and a pic in a previous post of what it looked like.

Are you trying the word doc in the very first post?

Joe, I was unable to use your file so I swiped te motocampers header you have on each page and used that on some cards for myself. I will try to figure out a way to show it to you. I can't post the file since it is a Mac Print shop file and won't work on the board. Anyway the idea is good, since I retired I have made for myself that says "Retired Citizen" and then give all my contact info, a lot of people get a kick out of it. I will still use it but in motorcycle circles I will use my motocamper card.
Gene

BTW, is there a post icon just for tent campers?:fire4:

Gene, works for me.. as far as the post icon, if you click the 'more' link you'll get a few more and some have tents.

Joe, I had already checked out all the icons and while several good ones with tents are available, none for tent "camper trailers", maybe some day. I stuck one of my cards on the screen of my iMac and took a pic. The print is too small to be legible but I think it should give the general idea. Took all of 5 minutes to make, all I needed was your idea!

So ... I had some free time today and tried my hand at making some promotional business cards for this site.

I decided to use the online Avery design site, that way anybody can edit and print them online (you don't need ms office).

A screen capture of the card is attached. If anyone is interested I can provide the template file and directions for loading/editing it to your preferences :)
