I already carry a Gerber Camp Axe (http://www.motocampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112) and it has come in handy many times.

However, I've been thinking that having a good saw along too would really
make cutting up some smaller pieces of wood so much easier and safer.

I saw this saw (pun intended) at campmor and decided to give it a try.
I got it in the mail a couple days ago, put it together and started trimming
the tree in my front yard. This saw is very stable and tough and weighs in
at less than 10 ounces not to mention it folds down very well. It has a 15
inch blade which should be adequate.

It was $35 at Campmor (http://www.campmor.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=49364&memberId=12500226).

I'm very happy with this addition to my gear.

As you know I carry a litle bow saw with me in the Unigo. I carry a 36" bow saw in the Bunkhouse. Both are used to saw dead fall for firewood at campsites that allow fires.

Several years ago I got a Wyoming Bone saw to carry while hunting, it has two blades, one for sawing bone and one for trees, I carry it on every camping trip, super compact and very lite, wouldn't be without it, they come in real handy!!
