The Dalles Campground, about 10 miles past Greenwater Washington on highway 410.
This campground offers paved roads, water and vault toilets. The sites range from very small & next to the highway to the larger quieter sites next to the White River. Of the 45 sites, about 14-15 are non-Reservable and available on a first come first served basis, several of which are on the River side of the Campground. As can be seen in the pictures there are tables and fire rings, fire wood can be purchased from the camp host. The CG and sites are nicely wooded and offers good privacy between most sites.
On one end of the Campground there is a Big Tree that is 275 ft high, has a 9?6? diameter and is 700 years old. From this point, there is a .8 mile hiking trail. Pics of the Tree and trail can be seen in my photos. All in all, this is a nice CG and the Hosts were nice as well.
I placed the pics in an album as a few of them were not able to be uploaded to MC.
