I set up a camping event on the ST site and it has been very successful the last 3 years. So, I thought breaking it into an event twice a year might be a good idea, one on the west side of Texas and one on the East LOL.
This year's East event was in Northern Georgia and the West event will be at the end of the month at Mesa Verde NP.

Anyway, doen't look like very many are going so I thought I'd throw it out here too.
I'm planning on leaving Wed 25th and making it to Amarillo from DFW then on Thursday head straight to Mesa Verde.. okay, maybe not straight there.
On Friday the 27th I might do a 700 mile ride through 4 corners, Bryce Canyon and Glen Canyon parks then back to Mesa Verde (this will be a very long day...) I may cut it short but once you get so far, the only short cut is to turn back and backtrack your route, yuk no one likes to do that!..
There are a couple other routes I have lined up, over 300 miles and just over 400 which will probably still be a day's ride depending on how many stops there are.
Saturday, I'll head to durango and silverton, etc.. then start angling back towards Amarillo and sunday will be a typical ride back to DFW.
So, that being said, let me know if anyone is interested in showing up. I'll make some reservations today and post the site number if they give that out.
