Not sure if this is where to post, but here goes.
On my last trip, I used this lanyard I got with my pin drive to help keep up with my Park pass, drivers license, and debit card. I wore it around my neck and it was the first thing I put on in the morning and the last thing I took off at night. (I am terrible at keeping up with stuff:( ) I hid my wallet somewhere in my gear and didn't get it out the entire time I was gone (13 days). I kept a little money for small purchases with me, locked up on my bike but fairly easy to get to.
I hate riding with a wallet in my pocket, and I knew I would eventually lay it down at a gas pump somewhere, so instead of trying to retrain myself, I figured I would try something different.
I drilled a small hole in each card (find a spot with no critical info or magnetic strips) and attaced the lanyard loop through the holes. I was lucky in that the end I chose for the debit card, allowed me to swipe the card without taking it off the lanyard or even from around my neck for about 90% of the gas pumps I used.
When entering a national park, I would unclip the end of the lanyard and hand the cards to them. Of course, it gave them the pass they were looking for, but also the picture ID the pass calls for.
It made for one less thing to worry about during the trip.
I read in one of Bamariders journals that he used a neck wallet (I think I read that). Not knowing what that was and as cheap as I am, this is what I came up with.
Hope you find it useful.
