Hey,

Love the idea for this group. Every year I decide that the two things I don't get to do enough of is motorcycling and camping - and it's best when they happen at the same time. It's the main reason I go to rallies. Unfortunately I don't have too many riding/camping buddies her in the NY/NJ/PA area.

My last trip, this past Sept./Oct., was an 11-day adventure hitting a rally in VA and then a national BMW rally in TN. That's been the longest in forever. I don't have too many campgrounds to report on but I'll need to get around to that. Are you only looking for organized site reports? There's a little piece of state land in the Catskills that I've been going to since I was 17 (they were still allowing dinosaur parking at the curb back then).

later,
phil

'99 Concours :) (The Electric Prune by name, since I hate its color. Bought from my friend as a "temporary" replacement for my K75RT that was rear-ended and totalled in '04 and has turned out to be a very reasonable machine).
'68 BMW R50 w/ a VW Type III engine and '70 Hollandia sidecar :D (Gigantor - searchable on the net for pics) Needs enough work to not be safe to use right now but it had its day.
'82 Goldwing :( Destined to be a flatbed s/c rig to carry a kayak. Sitting for a year now.
'72 Yamaha LS2 Cute little 100cc two-stoke supposedly for my youngest but now that she's driving... Been in mid-restoration status for two years.
'69 BMW R69S w/ R75/5 engine s/c rig :( Been in mid-restoration status for six years.
'59 BMW R69 :( Been in mid-restoration status for nine years. (Are we noticing a pattern?!!!)
'53 male Still trying to reinvent himself and actually get somewhere.

Welcome Phil,

Welcome to the site.

I think Rick makes it up to NJ from time to time.

I think in most groups there are a small number of those that want to camp. Hopefully, as word gets out, this site will become more and more popular.

If you want to review a campground, go for it and if you want us to 'pretty' it up for you just let us know and we can add some general info.

I'm thinking the campgrounds we don't really need to review would be the KOAs since they are all pretty much cookie-cutter type sites that yould have a hard time knowing, from a pic, where it's located.

Again, welcome to the site and feel free to ask questions.

Phil
I lived 12 years in that areas when I was younger and still have family there. I try and plan a ride up the east coast every year and this year it will be the first week of May.

Bet you had a great time, there has to be a story or 2 on that ride.

Any and all reports are welcome!

PS: Welcome the the site!
