View Full Version : What brand is your camper and what do you pack in it?
I have a 2005 Trailmaster Aspen Sentry w/den kit. This is going to be the year that I sort out what I'm carrying. I have worked the last 2 years and haven't had a chance to "weed out" uneeded items as I only got to use it twice.. Currently I'm set up with 12 volt LED lights, a solar charger, a portable 12 volt power source with plans for another small 12 vlt battery on tongue. Aluminium cooking stuff, back packers kitchen kit, first aid kit, small fire extingiusher, Coleman grill/stove, Kooleraire cooler unit, candle lantern, small propane heater, Spare tire (this is going underneath when I get stateside), jack, fold up lug wrench, ground cloth, 4 light weight chairs, a trailmaster table which is going to get switched out with something lighter, Igloo cooler on tongue and sleeping bags. Just wanting to know what everyone carries in theirs. Actually I'm at work sitting in the deserts of Kuwait planning for days off in a week.:)

We have a 2003 Roll-a-Home. What it looks like packed can be seen in the pic.
One white box is for propane, very small lantern and bottle stands. The other white box is for kitchen items, pots, pans..etc. The pink box, YES PINK..lol, is for all dry food items. The 2 blue boxes were used for towels and bath items but one is now for the Heater/1 burner. Under the 2 pillows is the folding table, a 2 burner stove. On the shelf to the right of the wheel is the Large zip-on awning, the 3 poles are in the bottom of all the crap..lol. The black and orange box is a tool box with stuff for the Bike, some tools, oil, brake fluid and electrical repair items. The black box between the white boxes is my very nice Tool kit. The box to the upper side of the white boxes is a divided fishing tackle type box with the utensils, can opener, S&P and stuff like that. The box on the shelf at the upper right of the pillow is things like fire starter sticks, lighters, and bug spray?etc. Assorted other things you can see on the shelf areas is rain suits, bike cover, heated vest and cord, battery lantern, duct tape, tarps and the Folding Camp Shovel I did the Review on?lol. As you can see, the entire Storage space is accessible by lifting the bed panel from inside while setup also. On the Tongue we carry the Large cooler for food. On the Top rack we have our second smaller cooler for drinks, the folding 2 person chair and camera tripod in the chair case and a plastic spare fuel can in a not air tight but sealed plastic box.
Now that I have put it all out there, say what you want all, but I am never without what I need on a trip?.LOL:D

Hi everyone, I found this site by accident, and learned how useful and friendly everyone seems to be so I joined..
I'm using a Combi-Camp sport. I just purchased it so I'm still packing it up. Has anyone know of a small ac unit that would go nice with these?
Thanks and ride safe.

Fred,
First off, Welcome to MotoCampers.
I just found this unit and was thinking it would be better than an AC unit as it is 4-3 times lighter, does not require venting and is quieter. It will not get as cold as an AC unit but it would help cool it down in a small space.

I tried a portable swamp cooler in my pick up camper it helped but wasn't great and if you have high humidity they are worthless. The little air conditioners can be gotten at Wally World, Sears ect. I bought the mount for my camper but figured it was to heavy to pack. This is what I ended up going with.

I only used it once and it seemed to do alright. I will have a better opinion in a couple of weeks. The cooler it fits into seemed small to me so I have a bigger one on the tongue and use the one it fits to store my cooking stuff in the trailer. I also have a nice softside that fits on my tour pack rack for ice runs.

Hey, thanks for all the info. Both products sound good, but here in Okla. the humidity is pretty high, so the air cooler may not do to well. I'm checking into both.
Thanks again.

Actually these were seen at the Superbike races today in Fontana Calif. today. They were an awsome site and there were 3 of them. Seemed like how much was not an opption when they built them as everything was top of the line and could not have been done any better.
If interested, pictures of the race or should I say pictures of what goes on at the races are in my webshots below.
No, No, No, Campers that we pull behind our bikes. Not campers to pull your bike in. LOL Sorry I couldn't resist.

See my avatar. It is a 2004 Bunkhouse and I pack whatever she tells me to. The trip to Big Bend is the only time I have used the camper without the SO with me. I had so much room in the cargo area without her stuff, I was lonely.

I have a wally world 5000 btu If you buy one get one where the air comes out at an up angle instead of streight out. I keep a fan on the table which blows the cool air around much quicker. They are not that heavy.

I have a 1992 Bunkhouse, the one with the metal rods on the inside. I found it for sale over on the GWRRA site as I can't afford to outbid the idiots on ebay. I just brought it home Tuesday, so I haven't started to pack it yet but I tend to carry too much. :D

Liesure-Lite, and about a 100# of gear, for a total weight of around 350#. Tows like a dream as long as you properly balance it, if not it will snake all over the road.
