I've been looking for a small, packable, propane stove to carry on camping trips, and saw this
one in the newspaper: http://www.academy.com/index.php?page=content&target=products/outdoors/camping/accessories&start=8&selectedSKU=0224-00660-5453

Has anyone tried this model, or something similar? I'm going to the store this weekend
to see one first hand, and if it meets my approval, I just might be an owner. With this stove and my IKEA espresso maker, I could almost compete with Motomac for 'Mr. Camp Cook'.

Looks like a nice option to the larger 2 burner stoves that some of us have. We use our Mr Heater as our third burner when needed.....

Nice & simple, and at 7500 btu's it puts out the same heat as my Coleman one-burner white gas backpacking stove. Should work just fine.

I have a low profile two burner that I picked up at Wal-Mart. Can't for the life of me remember the brand but it cooks very well and pack nice. :) :) You might want to take a ride by there on the way to Academy... :run1: :run1:

BTW BJ -- NICE BIKE !!!!!!!!!

By the looks of your NEW avatar BJ, it looks like the Cat's out of the bag now!!!! Now as far as "Mr. Camp Cook", I don't do any more than most hungry folks in a campground. And Jerry cooked up more eggs, bacon, and sausage in two days than I cook in two weeks!!! Hope to see you and your IKEA and low profile stove soon!!!! By the way that Italian thingy you sent me works good and the expresso is GREAT!!!
