We extend sincere sympathies to Renske and all of Piet's family. It is notable that instead of giving up Moto Dordogne, Renske and the family have made the commitment to continue operating the campground in Piet's memory.

Camping Moto Dordogne, located midway between the porcelain capital Limoge and Toulouse, is overseen by a Dutch family. As their website (http://www.motocamp.com/motocamp.nsf/Home.htm) shows, they can handle English as well as German and French.
Just a half day's ride to the Pyrenees mountains and the Spanish border, it's a good warm-weather place (with a pool) on the route south from Paris. The nearby Dordogne river is a mecca for leisurely canoeing, and you can tour the cliff caves where 1,000 years ago the locals took refuge when Vikings attacked. Oh, and then there's the local specialty--french goose liver pate. And the wine isn't half bad either...
Also, Pieter and crew have finally completed renovating the romantic old church (http://www.motocamp.com/motocamp.nsf/1/A1EEB07C5D281D92C125727E003F1F9B), with complete kitchen, bath and living space. It accommodates two and is available weekly at seasonal prices.
Note: some of the English website pages show "2009", but prices, etc. are good for 2010.
