I stayed with my 9-yr old daughter last October, and we camped in the hilltop section. There is a security patrol that came by about 3-4 times a day, which was nice, cuz in this section, you're out of sight from the main part of the campground. The sites had a graded tent section which was nice and flat, but the ground was a sandy soil mix vs grass. Lots of sand got inside the tent. The restroom/shower facilites were primitive and not clean. There was also a railyard on the backside of the hill that you cannot see for the trees, but they must work 24/7 and its really noisey. I don't recall the price, but I do remember thinking that it wasn't worth the cost (even though they allowed us to set up 2 tents on one site).
Great riding in this part of Virginia, but I'll look for another campground next time.
