From looking at the event list.. I looks like there isn't anything going for the West Coast...
Would anyone be interested in a West Coast Campout?

Go for it, lots of members in CA... I really like Joshua Tree but there are a lot of great places in CA to camp.

Lets see how many takers we have.. I"m kinda committed to my trip starting in April - June. Maybe something in September Eastern Sierra's...

Or something along the Western Sierra's near Sonora.

I am in. If you need an out west suggestion.... the Lewiston / Clarkston area is great. Lots of great roads and camping spots. Hells Canyon, Rattle Snake Pass, Lolo Pass.... just to name a few.

Yep, if the dates and time are right i'd love to be there. Suppose to be a busy year at work (something BIG is happening) and as you know work, that 4 letter word, alway's seems to get in the way.:D

Awhile back there was talk of a west coast trip and it never materialized. Would be great to share a campsite with everyone here.

Tim, what is your eastern route and itinery? Be nice if you came close so some of us on the east side of the country and we could meet you. What is the closest you plan to ride to "Wild and Wonderful WV"? For the rest of you "west coasters"...I hope something get's worked out....the three campouts I've attended have been great fellowship events! :D

Having a very 'Full Plate' this year, I highly doubt I'll be making any Campout this year on any of the forums I frequent, but I do plan on being out on the west coast again for a 3 weeks or so, in 2013 and hope to attend a West Coast Campout II then, as I attend to 'unfinished business' in CA.

Larry ... you sure are dieing to camp out around that specific area of the PNW. :D
You can work your way over to that campground (http://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=I-5+S&daddr=OR-86+E+to:46.0244273,-117.2603437+to:US-12+W&hl=en&ll=46.278631,-120.454102&spn=4.153289,10.656738&sll=46.253948,-116.636353&sspn=1.038824,2.664185&geocode=FeJs1gIdAmS1-A%3BFVtArgIdjOII-Q%3BFetGvgIdyb8C-Sm5728iD56hVDESWiLlrewOmw%3BFfglwQIdHucV-Q&vpsrc=6&mra=dpe&mrsp=2&sz=9&via=2&t=m&z=7)I recommended to ya, anytime and ride those areas .... even solo, if no one bites on your suggestions of that area. ;)

I have maps on my webpage in the "THE ROUTE" tab
http://stubbeadventures.weebly.com

There are 4 maps, Southern, Eastern, Northern, West.
Its still kinda tentitive but fairly accurate.

I know for sure I will be going from D.C up to Antitiam, Harpers Ferry then to Gettysburg...

I just think it is a great area.... not as popular as some spots in Utah, but it has it's uniqueness. A fantastic motorcycling area. I have been there now twice and there is so much there. I rode over there solo last year and didn't allow enough time to adequately explore the area. So.... I am pitching it for a meetup to kill two birds with one stone.

No matter what side of the country one is on..... one wants to ride to the other side.

Hey Larry,

Living in Seattle and wanting to ride to Utah, isn't riding to the other side of the country;), but I get your point. Most of us easterners that haven't been west, have a hard time adjusting to the distances. Without checking, I'd bet that we are about the same distance to Kanab. I would be interested in a trip out west this summer. The last white spot on my map of the western US is Idaho too.

Alright ..... alright Larry!!! ....... Sheesh!!! :ph1: :well

Seeing as I am planning on hitting the SW and rollin up the CA coast again in 2013 ('unfinished business') maybe ... just maybe, ...... I'll set something up for there ..... BUT ..... it would have to be fairly early in the season (for in the mountains) like the Memorial Day weekend, 2013 at the Lewis-Clark Resort (http://www.lewisclarkresort.com/), which is located just a little bit west of Kamiah, ID (http://maps.google.ca/maps?saddr=46.212596,-116.005031&hl=en&ll=46.207042,-115.993137&spn=0.064983,0.166512&sll=46.212392,-116.004311&sspn=0.002031,0.005203&vpsrc=6&mra=mift&mrsp=0&sz=18&t=m&z=13) and at the western end of the run over Lolo Pass.

How's that?

I am in! I have been through that area but have not explored it.

Dusty, by the way, you asked about "Dead Man's Pass" when I was talking about it last year at the camp out at Crater Lake. Dead Man's Pass is in west central Oregon.

Would anyone be interested in a West Coast Campout?

I would, but my problem is that I work out of state from May 1 until September 1.
I currently have reservations at Lake Chelan State Park in eastern Washington September 12-17. Some of my GWRRA chapter members may be joing us.
Anyone else that wants to show up would be welcome.

Anything that gets Mellow and Trailace at the same campground, has my priority! Those guys are a hoot together :D

If I can help set anything up from over here, just PM me. I spend most of my time at ST-Owners...
