Well, since it rained today, thought I'd get this done. This campground is 18 miles NW of Pagosa Springs. 6 miles are paved, the next 12 are graded gravel. Road bed is hard, but has some washboards. I don't want someone to plan to come here not knowing that up-front. You can make it with a street bike, but it's gonna be slow, and I expect some profanity directed toward me if you really baby your bike. My little girl (Vulcan 900) has grown up this week, she's done great on these gravel roads, and I've sent her down her share. Back to the campground. This is designed mainly for hunters to use as a base camp for big game. Fishing is outstanding, and a horseback outfitter is here in camp also. If you grew up in the country, it smells like home. If you're from the city, it's gonna smell like the livestock barns at the fair. The tent site is generally between some of the cabins and the owners house. They let me stay here in a spot with electricity and water. Not much at each site for tents as far as tables, latern poles, etc. but they have a lodge for everyone's use.

Couple of long tables to eat at, a stove (in case someone wants to make, oh I don't know, biscuits?) and a sink. A pool table, fooseball table and pac man game. Plenty of couches and easy chairs to kick back in.
Since most of the campers here are RVers, the lodge gets very little use, except for the laundry room

and occasionally the bathrooms (2)

bathrooms are just like in a house; sink, toilet, shower, hooks to hang clothes on, benches to sit stuff on, and a urinal (okay, don't have one of those in my bathroom) Bathrooms and laundry rooms are cleaned daily. Tile showers. Looks like a great place to have get-togethers, except for the road in. PLENTY OF GRAVEL/DIRT ROADS, plus a lot of ATVs here, and heard something about a off-road permit, but don't know exactly what that allows you to do. Cabins, also if your family wants to come but not sleep in a tent. Haven't been inside of them, but they look quality from the outside (not junk).
Quite for the most part, except for an occasional horse that squeals, or dogs barking (not constantly, just when bears try to break in) And a General store that has most of the necessities. Here's a link to their website:
