Its official. I and a group of good friends will be on site 41 at Lake Joy, outside of Belmont. I'll be there Thursday, (Aug 4) and Friday for certain. The current plan is to go up to the Bunkhouse Reunion at Wisconsin Dells Saturday morning, but that is subject to change. There have been times in the past that I just stayed at Lake Joy all weekend.

I'll be at the Guzzi Rally late Friday morning through the weekend. A very yellow Helix is the ride of choice for this event. It's the one with the MotoCampers.com sticker on the back. :)

I would have liked to, and seriously considered it. Maybe if its held a different weekend next year I will be able to. This weekend, I have friends from all over the US and Canada coming and wouldn't feel right if I missed them.
I considered leaving Lake Joy Saturday morning, skipping the Dells, and making the trip to Michigan. I wouldn't arrive until late Saturday evening and have to leave at first light. I'm getting too old for that.
The first weekend in June and the first full weekend in August are booked for me years in advance. Sorry.

I was there -- site T35, back in the trees -- arrived on Thursday and left on Sunday AM. I was on the way home from the ADVrider rally in Darby, MT and had two friends from Indiana join me for the Guzzi Rally.
Good rally, typical Guzzi get-together. Never did hear how many bikes were in attendance but figure it must have been 275 or so. May have to put it on my rally calendar for next year.

I missed out. I got up Thursday morning, with everything packed the night before except cold stuff. Opened up the refrigerator to find everything in it luke warm. $1600 Maytag, still under warranty, but this is the third time it has died. The repair guy couldn't get there until noon Friday so I had to stick around. Of course, he had to order parts.
Saturday morning I thought I could sneak down there or to the Bunkhouse Reunion. Turned on the TV to heavy rain and high wind warnings. I stayed home and polished the bike.:mad:
