I am going to make a trip to Castaic, CA between Mid Nov and early Dec.

I was wondering if anyone had stayed at Brantley Lake , NM which is close to Carlsbad caverns and Roswell.

My other overnight spot I was thinking of is Lost Dutchman State Park in AZ.

I will be on my F650GS Dakar and will need electricity as I cant do 2 things at the same time at night, Sleep and Breathe

Does anyone have any experence with these or have advice of others in the southern third of the states.

yep, stayed at Lost Dutchman this spring. Not bad. It sits between the mountans and Apache Junction. Easy to reach off of the 202 freeway or Hiway 60. Just be careful on the side streets going through town. Also, watch the road going out to it, sometimes gets sand or small gravel on it.

Depends on the site you get/choose. Sites 16-32 and 41-58 are electric and water. The rest have NO hookups and you walk to a water tap to get water. So if you need electric you best call and see if you can make a reservation.

Park number (480) 982-4485
