Mountain west vacation 2011

Day 1
No pictures yet. But, good day. Boring interstate driving. But I wanted to get used to pulling the timeout. Gas mileage was not good but who cares. I'm out on the road without a care.

Can you give a rough % difference with or without the trailer and if you are talking about mountain mileage or flat. I'll be heading to Montana mid august with a Rollahome behind my Ultraglide. Not going to change any plans but would like to get my bitchin out of the way before the trip.

Pulling my combi-camp behing my electraglide it drops my mileage from 37 down to 33, thats not in moutains but steep hills in Illinois and Ky.

Thank Gary I'm thinking what you go uo you also come down so will get some mileage back on return trip. How's the knee coming? I look for your comments everyday; I expect a reduction soon you'll be to busy camping. I'm picking up my Rollahome July 7th and plannig a 23 day trip in August.

Knee is coming along good, PT says i'm pushing to hard to get back. Got 104 degrees out of it today, and was released from VNA and PT. Now its up to me to get it going the way it needs too. Rode the boys shadow 64 miles today to pickup parts for #3 sons raptor. Still have trouble swing it up and over, thats why I took the Shadow I swung the other leg over.
Guess I'm picking my Roll-a-Home up on the last day of Wing-Ding. P^

Yes, about a 5 mpg change in mileage but I got pretty consistent between 37 and 40mpg. I would recommend using premium especially out west. Too much ethanol out their.
Here are some pictures of the travels. Over 5000 miles with the time out and everything was great. I would do it again tomorrow.
