Exped schnozzel

Saw this on another site awhile back and finally got my hands on one. Used it for the 1st time this last weekend. Made too work with the exped air mattress that does not have the pump. And if your a little creative you can make an adapter that works just fine with the Exped mattress with built in pump.

Along with the Schnozzel you are going to need one of Exped's Shrink Bags. This one is 40 liters and will now be used for my sleeping bag and for filling my mattress.

The Exped mattress with built in pump has a larger intake port for the pump. Because of this I had to come up with an adapter. Found this on my bench, made of a high density foam and just happens to work as is.

I had a hard time locating the actual product. Either they had not heard of it or they weren't available as of yet. I contacted my friend Greg at Full Throttle Camping and he was able to get one to me within a weeks time.

P^It works just as seen in the videoP^ Took only two fills of the bag to fully inflate my Exped 9 DLX with built in pump.

That is just awesome! Makes me think about making one for my self-inflating mattress so I'm not tempted to blow into it - which they say puts moisture in it and makes it colder.

Quad don't make one, this one doesn't cost all that much..

ya, but the pad nozzles are just for letting air in and out naturally and aireate (I tried to spell this ten ways; all wrong) from the sides of the nozzle, so there is no hole to stick anything into. I'll figure out some kinda donut or direct connect bellows if I get around to it.

Funny thing... I have a schnozzel and two of those bags (the smaller one you show and a larger one) and no exped right now! ??I am holding onto it for my next exped?? I LOVE those bags-- water proof, can squeeze air out, and make great pillows because the sil is soft. Go Exped!!:)
