Well I have done all the Google searches I could think of so I will post here for help.
Motorcyle police use a lap apron to protect them from the rain and whatever. They mount to the engine guards and cover your lap and legs and your seat when you get off the bike.
Any ideas and "Links" where they can be obtained???
thanks, Boomer

Do you mean something like this?http://www.tucanourbano.com/eng/f_termoscud.htm
From what I could find they are something mostly used in the UK. Seems they come in a one size fits all , and even the scooter ones may work?

That's what I am looking for, but here in the states!! and big enough for a Harley. I just can't find a supplier anywhere.

Bagster sells them. French company that has a good reputation for quality products but not so easy to find in the US.

No personal experience with them but the Bagster web site list this as their US distributer.

Bagster has nothing that fits the large Touring bikes, I had seen them already but thank you for your post.

Hmmm. They have pictures of their apron fitted to an R1200RT and an ST1100. Those aren't small bikes.

I guess I don't understand the concept... wouldn't it be better to get some textile riding pants? Or, is it the hassle of getting them on/off the issue?

I'm pretty beat up. I was in a terrible accident in January. To many weeks in the hospital and then... the "Rehab" Convelecent Home :( I'm disabled now and though an apron would be an inexpensive way to go (not, can have one custom made starting at $200+). Rain gear over the leathers is hard for me to get on and off, usually I need help. I used to wear a rain suit and pants from First Gear and it's too expensive now. I guess glad bags are the route now!!:D

Sorry to hear it... If I see something that looks like it might work, I'll post it here.

Have you ever tried a textile riding suit? Easy on/off even with boots still on, warm and most are as waterproof as you can get. If you are normal sized (I am not) you can get deals through some of the clearance web sites. Or Joe Rockett gear is pretty reasonably priced. This way you are not getting protection but all weather gear.
