Has anyone use the MSR FLING tent? I am looking for a single wall, free standing tent and see there is a Fling for sale on EBAY. Either that or might purchase a new FirstLight by Black Diamond. Comment, questions, concerns? Please let me know you thoughts... Thanks, Jeff

I don't know much about the fling... but, it sure looks like the wind would take off with it if you pointed it in the wrong direction..

Both are a little pricey.. .for 1/2 the price you can get a new Eureka Zues 2 LE (pack size 16x6)

If I were looking for a single walled tent this is the one I'd go for as it's made by a good company, free standing and you don't have to buy a vestibule, it has a small one attached.

That?s a nice tent Joe. I like the two door design and the slanted vestibules. :tent2:

Here's the tent I carry in my trailer. Columbia Cougar Flats 15 ft. x 10 ft. 2-Room Tent. It's a dream in all kinds of weather.

Hey Mellow,

Thanks for the tip. I just order one from Campmor for $116 delivered. Hope it works out, but if not they have a great return policy. Gonna give the Tetragon 5 to my grandson..... Thanks again, and see you on the road....

No problem... please do a review on it when you get it and have a chance to use it... I've always been curious about how well a single walled tent would work out for me... I always keep my rain fly on so for me it just seems to make the tent setup/take down that much easier especially in the rain.

Mellow,

Was going to ask someone about that. I have used the Tetragon 5 scene in my Avatar for about two years and was going to pass along my comments on it. Then was going to do the same with the Zeus. How do I sign on as a testor/reviewer? I need to go into Campmor and see if the one I ordered has the two doors that seem to show in the picture you put on.... yours may be a newer version which could explain the lower price. However, nothing in Campmor mentioned an older model, so will wait and see. I would think, that with two up camping, two doors would be much better for getting into and out of the tent, not to mention improved ventilation with both doors open and the vestibules zipped up at night. Again, will wait and see.... so, let me know about reviewing and will sure pass any info along that I might acquire... Jeff

If you just go to the tent review area, you can just post a new review similar to a new post...

I can help with adding some formatting later if you like.
