Has anyone stayed at Homolovi Ruins State Park, near Winslow Az. ???
I will be stoping there on the 22nd. It looks like a fairly new park. If not, I'll add my Review when I return.
This is what I have found:

Homolovi Ruins State Park, Az

All sites have electric hookups and water. Water is also available at the dump station. Sites include both back-in and pull-through sites which can handle large rigs. All sites have 30 amp hookups. Pull-through sites have both 30 amp & 50 amp hookups. Maximum RV length 83 feet. Ten sites have tent pads. Camping is limited to fourteen nights. Campground fee includes the use of all of the park's day-use recreation areas, plus use of the showers and dumpstation. This park does not take reservations for camping.

It sounds like a park that I stayed at about ten years ago. If it is, it is a great place to stay. As I remember, there was a beware of snakes sign that was an attention getter, but I never saw a snake. There was an archaeological dig in process, which is probably long over, but there was plenty of pottery pieces all over the ruins which are located along the roads inside the park. Leave the pieces where they were or bad things will happen. Also, down the road is the Little Painted Desert which is worth as short side trip. As I remember it was best at sunrise or sundown. Have a good trip.

I rode by there last week on the way home from Mexican Hat, UT. I've never stopped there tho.

Worth a stop in Winslow to see the "Standing On The Corner" tribute. Painted Desert and Petrified Forest are both nearby. BEST AZ road, US 191 below Alpine not too far away.

This sounds like a great campground. I'll be taking a trip out to california this coming summer and that would be a great place to take a break. Below is what I read about site reservations:

"Site reservations are available by calling the Reservation Center at (520) 586-2283. You can call 7 days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm MST. There is a $5 non-refundable reservation fee per site. You may also reserve campsites 24/7 for this park online Online Campground Reservations"

However I will call them to make sure of this.
