I have to tell you that if ever company had someone like Peggy working for them they would be a lot better off. She met us at the factory on Saturday morning at 9am. Took her time and showed us how to set the Classic up and take it down. We had another couple with us and she took the time to answer their questions about the difference in the trailers that they make. She even had the plates on it when we got there! Talk about customer service. We had to take the cager to pick it up I wanted to stop on the way home and try it out but got out voted. Now if the weather holds will be out camping this weekend. Got home late Saturday night and today set the camper up in the drive way and took it down then hooked it to the bike and pulled it about 150 miles just to see how it would pull. So far 10 out of 10 on it. What a great product and company! P^

I agree,,,Peggy called me the other day.......she is the best. So many times you hear about a product that is good but customer service is lousy, not so at Trailmaster...................TD

Peggy is a great person, very knowledgeable, Trailmaster is lucky to have her. Buying an Aspen is like getting a new family. You are going to love the camper.

yup.... If I don't move overseas, I may start looking for a cheap used camper to decide if I like towing a camper enough to put the tent away... ;) :sick

Good Luck in finding a used camper. If you do find one it seems like they cost almost as much as a new one. You have to move fast because they seem to sell quick. You can check out the Trailmaster Facebook page under discussions, they list used trailers there. Check it out at www.trailmasterinc.com

There have been quite a few for sale up here lately. I think everyone is updating for the summer.

Here is one I'm selling for a friend. I don't check here too often, so it might be easier to get ahold of me over there....

You have to be real quick or real lucky to find a good deal on a used trailer.

I've got an offer in on another camper.... if not accepted, looks like I'll be :tent4: at Moonshine... Unless B&F can crank out a base model for me in time....but that's option #2 right now...
EDIT: Picked up a new Bunkhouse from the factory while at Moonshine ;) It's sweet !!

I agree! I just talked to Peggy today and ordered a den for my Aspen Classic. It gives me a reason to take a ride up to the open house an May 1st. It is a busy day for them but they always have time for you. Trailmaster is a great company to deal with and Aspen is a quality product. I am a happy camper.

I am planning on going to the Aspen Open House also. I hope they have nice weather this year.

Just talked to Peggy today. I am new to the forum but not to motorcycle camping. After looking at campers for years I have decided to buy an Aspen camper. I just don't know about the brakes yet. Peggy is very knowledgeable and very helpful. I just have to make up my mind.

Welcome to the fourm KR. Yes Peggy will take good care of you and the Aspen is a good choice.I know because I just bought one. I bought a Sentry and did not get brakes on it. I haven't slept in it yet, but I have towed it and I don't really think brakes are necessary. But that is your choice. Whatever you decide, good luck with it..........TD

Welcome from Wyoming.. I agree Aspen is a good choice as we have had a new one for a couple months now. Did get brakes on it because we ride alot on steeper mountain roads and so far seems like they will be fine. I just decided to get the option and can always shut the power off to them if I want. Bought an all electronic controller that can be mounted anywhere and any angle and mounted it in the tour pack. Turned the controller sensitivity down so it does not lock the brakes even during a panic type stop, just takes a little stress off the bike brakes and does not affect handling during my test runs. Just my opinion so far but as trapperdick said that is your choice. Either way works just ride safe and enjoy.

Thanks to both for the info and the welcome. It seems that half of the people that I talk to like brakes. I wish I was closer to the factory. They are having an Open House this Sunday and I could see everything at once.

I bought a used Sentry last year that has brakes. However, there was no controller so they aren't connected to anything right now.
If I were to get a controller, what would I get and how would I set it?

You want to get a time delayed or solid state controller that can be mounted anywhere at any angle. Here is some good info. http://www.etrailer.com/faq-brakecontroller.aspx
The one I have was bought from amazon. A Curt Manufacturing 51110 Venturer Brake Control has the means to set the total power and the speed it ramps up to your power setting. It seemed to be the best deal I could find. Got the wiring harness to go with it. Total was $40.69 for both. Amazon.com: Curt Manufacturing 51110 Venturer Brake Control: Automotive
Here are some pictures of the installation in a harley tour pack. Neat and out of the way and the controls are accessible but not able to get bumped accidentally. Hope this gives you some idea.

I have an draw-Tite Activator and it works well. I read on another forum (GL1800Riders) that the digital Draw-Tite Prodigy works better. Both of them will cost more than the Venturer controller that Festus found.

I called Bunkhouse about a week ago and was told that they were not selling trailers with brakes because they were having problems with the circuit board on the brake pump.

When I talked to them last week they said that the last 2 trailers they made are not having problems. I would not want to spend over $1000 on a gamble.
