After years of riding and camping with a cargo trailer and a tent I finally ordered a new Aspen Sentry this evening. Have been looking at them for along time now and think they are the best camper for our use. Now we just need to get rid of alot of ice and snow so the season can begin. Sure appreciate all the ideas and good suggestions I have found on this forum.

I think you're going to like the Sentry. We looked at just about everything available and had pretty well settled on the Time Out. Then along comes a fella who was selling his 2006 Sentry. So for about $2500 less than the new time out, I bought the Sentry.

I haven't been sorry about the buy! P^

Yeppers we are excited just like a couple kids at Christmas time !!! We are going to have ours shipped here as we are quite a few miles away and the weather this time of year is unpredictable. That way we can have it set up and ready to go when the weather warms up. Come on spring !!!!

Don't be afraid to use the car. The wife was totally against me buying a camper, but finally agreed to driving to Omaha to pick it up. All the way down I heard about what a waste of money it was and how many motel rooms I could rent for $2500. Then she saw it.
All the way home to northern Wisconsin I heard about how "Cute" it looked behind her Outback and maybe she and her girlfriend could take it to the class reunion next summer and maybe we could take it and the car to her sister's... P^

Congratulations on buying the best motorcycle trailer made (In my opinion). Did you get the new body style with the "basement"? I have an Aspen Classic and have been very happy with it.

Yes We will be getting the basement in ours. Talked to Peggy again today and are hoping to have it built in a couple weeks then shipped to WY. Would like to pick it up myself but want to save my vacation days for using the camper. I do also think they are the best on the market and what a good company to deal with !!!

Twenty-five hundred will get you twenty five chances to sleep with the bed bugs, cooties, etc. Having your own comfy little place to stay is worth the money IMHO. Although I do stop at motels, I prefer my Aspen when possible. Plus a spot at KOA is around twenty five bucks - Holiday Inn around a hundred. I'd rather meet fellow campers than sit in my room staring at the weather channel.

I pretty much guarantee you will enjoy your new camper.

Congrats on the new camper. My wife and I have had our Bunkhouse for six years and it's paid for itself so many times over we've lost count.

Since the financial gods decided to unexpectedly grace our house this winter, we just ordered a new Bunkhouse SE and are in the processing of selling our 05. Lookin' forward to getting started with the modifications with the lessons learned with our first one.

This is our 5th camper, but my wife stopped riding with me when I sold my last Goldwing. For what ever reason, 6 bikes later, another Goldwing and she's riding with me again. :D
I truly am a happy camper now.

Maybe she didn't want to be seen on anything but a wing ... :p
I think so. She always complained the Guzzi was so loud it was embarrassing. It has stock pipes, but is a bit louder than the Wing or Valkyrie. I don't know what she had against the Valkyrie.

This doesn't supprise me as most people go through life on a wing.....and a prayer. :D

I just looked at some of your pictures on here Festus.....I had no idea that you had such wonderful taste when it comes to picking your motorcycles........I`m just guessing but did you order your Aspen in Black/Black?

Festus

No Dan I have a wife too and she wanted gray and gray so we can add some more color to it like our cargo trailer. Black was our second choice as it goes with any color of bike also. And yes you too have good taste in buying bikes also !!! Got my bike just before the '09 came out in july and to date have 43,000 miles on it and love it. They are a sweet ride aren't they?

Thats great !!! My wife is the same way, can't wait to get out and enjoy the scenery and the nights out around a fire. We are some of the lucky guys for sure. To many of the so people I know think that bikes are for riding from bar to bar and the ladies are not invited or have never had a chance to. I am a Happy Camper !!!!

We are excited too! Just picked up our new Classic last Tuesday. We drove 500 miles from frigid Minnesota to Illinois to get it. Hauled an enclosed trailer to put it in as I didn't want it to get it full of salt. Wanted to get it NOW so we could play with it a little before spring comes. Trailmaster was great to work with. Got mine black body with black tonneau cover, as I have a black Wing. It looks very nice, well made, should be lots of fun. We have motorcycle camped for over 10 years, first with a tent, then with a Mini Mate. The wife just needed a little more room, so the Mini Mate is for sale. Sort of sad, because the Mini Mate is a very nice camper, but probably best for one person.

Hey Dan and George. Finally warmed up to 45 and the streets were dry so took the camper for a little run to see how it pulled. A little heavier than my cargo trailer but sure does pull well. Now if TD gets warm weather he can try his too !!
