How close do you really need to be to Knoxville? There are some really good motorcycle-centric campgrounds at Deal's Gap (only 60 miles from knoxville)... Otherwise, you'll be camping with a bunch of RVs at a commercial campground... :D Here is a cool linky...:D http://www.rvparksusa.com/tn.htm

Here is a image of KOA in TN... # 10 & # 13 are the only ones around Knoxville..... I don't know which direction you are going, so I can't tell if they would work... US Army Corps of Engineers does not have anything in the area( <--- my favorite)....
