Hi again everyone,
I apologize in advance if this doesn't make complete sense, I'm pathetic at writing.
I'm a 26 Marine Corps veteran that is riding from Philadelphia to playa del coco, Costa Rica with stops all over the USA on the way there and back. I am leaving May 6 or 7, 2010. This isn't one of those "I'm thinking about doing this trip". It's happening, I have the time off from work/college, I have the bike, the equipment and most importantly the money. all I need i would like is at least one or more people to do all or parts of the trip with. The only places I have set in stone to stop along the way is Lexington, Ky on May 14 for a wedding, and Las Vegas (my woman will be there for a conference). Other than that I am completely open to where to go and what to see. I'm planning on taking at least 6 weeks total but more is very possible. So if anyone is interested in part or all of this, let me know.

Rob, I would love to do this trip, but unfortunately I live on a tight budget. I can take one trip a year of some distance if I get enough part time work in. I've planned this summers trip to the camp out in Michigan, and maybe a little riding up in Canada. You should join us for this MotoCampers event in August. You should be ready to hit the road again after your big trip! P^

Rob, 6 weeks is not enuff time! :D
Also, I assume you meant May 2011, not 2010. :D
I did a month south of the border last May, had a great time in Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala. Could'a done twice as long and still not seen it all.
Yur schedule conflicts with several events I already have planned so can't join ya for the long haul. However, keep poSTing and folks here will chime in as progress. Yur welcome where to join in where ever I happen to be at the time.
Consider joining ST-Owners.com (sister site to this one), many, many like minded folks there and a plethora of events to attend. There are currently 4 events planned in May and I hope to make three of them.
When do you plan to cross the border and where?
Have you investigated necessary paper work, etc? advrider.com is a great place to find info on "south of the border" and help/suggestions for doing the border crossings, etc. Lots of experienced LD travelers there.
You will fur sur get lots of "advice" about "Don't Go There!" but if ya stay sober and watch your own actions it's no problem. Three of us had absolutely zero negative events during our month down there.
Keep us poSTed.
