Gambled $20 on a chair I saw in an REI sales ad on the internet. Its made by Crazy Creek and is one of their "AIR LINE" chairs. The model on sale was the "SPORTS CHAIR" Made for taking to games and used on those hard cold benches. I got to thinking how everyone always seems to sit around the table instead of the chair they packed and brought along. Even taking the time to set it up only to end up sitting with everyone else at the table.

Probably the best $20 I've ever spent. What's always kept me from buying one of those chairs you see others use is it only folds in half meaning it won't pack well on the bike. Well, this one is different as it deflates and rolls up and fits in its own little bag. Fits easily in the lid of my Jesse Bag. Need be, 2 will fit in that Jesse lid. The picture below the chair is the green bag on top in the lid.

2nd shot shows it set up and ready.

Not much to inflate and once inflated you sit in it and use the red button inside the fill port to adjust the chair to just the right comfort zone. VERY COMFORTABLE, no more cold hard bench.

Seems to be made to last and comes with a patch kit if you should ever need it. As for durability, time will only tell. Has some sort of internal frame yet still rolls up and packs down to 4"X16" once in its own bag.

There seems to be 5 different models. Im very happy with the SPORT.

I left the Kermit home last trip and did not miss it. Only problem I see is if there is no table when you get to your campsite. On the plus side it works on the ground and inside your tent.

That's cool... I can't even remember if I've ever been to a campsite without a picnic table of some sort, even some of the more remote ones at least have that and a fire ring.

I have the Long Back Air Chair. It has several advantages:

It packs very small. I can fit it into the trunk of my Valkyrie Interstate or I can strap it on with the tent. The size is perfect.
It works well on sloped surfaces. I used mine last year at the AMA Superbike races at Barber and sat on the hill on the back straightaway. Other chairs don't work well on the hill, but the Crazy Creek is comfortable at any angle.
It works well inside a tent. The height is perfect for sitting inside a domed tent late at night and reading when the weather is bad.
At 50, I'm still comfortable in it, however, getting up still requires considerable effort. This seems to be more with getting older than the chair.(I just hope no one reviews me. I would get low marks on durability, usefullness, and satisfaction!)

I would recommend it as a good option where space is a consideration.
