They have Cabins for $45.00 per nite and $50.00 for full service RV's . Bring your own linens and blankets.

Just got back from Eureka Springs this weekend and stayed at the Kettle Campground.

Very nice, clean place. It's close to the road but not as much traffic noise as I would have expected.

HI All

I'm exremely sorry but I have to cancel this little shindig for the wife and I. We just found out that they are doing surgery on her on the 12th of October and she will be laid up for 6-8 weeks, so I will not be able to make it. But you all can do this without me. Get the guy at Kettle to give you some nice roads to run , he's got plenty of them.
Again I'm sorry, for those that are going, enjoy.

By all means, marry. If you get a good wife, you'll become happy; if you get a bad one, you'll become a philosopher.

Sounds as if you're in the first category, Slink. Take good care of her. Hope it goes well for her.

I'm thinking Socrates dies a poor man.... were there lawyers back then?

HA! I'm betting lawyers have been around just about as long as vultures have been around. Disclaimer: this was just an arbitrary analogy and any resemblance is purely coincidental.

LOL... It's all part of the system... cops, lawyers, judges, juries, democrats, republicans, citizens... It may not be the best... but I don't know of a better one, that's fair.

Ugh, did I just turn this into a political discussion... BAN!!!!

Just an update on Donna
She went in for surgery for a Hysto. on 10/9 came home that friday after a week of Hospitalization that Saturday she started getting sick puking all over the place took her back on Monday they Hospitalized her again and found the 1st surgeon screwd up and perforated her Colon well another surgery by a diffrent doctor now she has a 14 inch opening in the front and 2 colostomy bags . I took her home and am taking care of her here. She has been home almost a week and feeling 100% better. Next surgery in about 8-10 weeks after everything heals up in there can you imagine **** floating in your insides for a week what kind of damage that does. Well now that she's off all the morphine etc. since she's a nurse she is really pissed. On top of everything else she lost her job at the Hospital she was working cause she had not been there for 90 days and they could not hold her job that long. So now where up ****s creek without a paddle. Well thats all the news here she's getting better and thats all that matters we'll get through the rest

Glad she is better! There are some Physicians out there that need to be telemarketers. No wonder malpractice insurance is so high.

That sux.. but at least she's on the road to recovery.

My dad just had cataract (sp?) surgery a couple month ago and sees less now, they say sometimes they need to go in again... he had one of the veins in his leg replaced a few years ago and got a staff infection which was very tough for him to fight being 73 and a diabetic...

He's back in the hospital this week as his oxygen levels are very low and his kidneys appear to be shutting down... He's a tough one though, so I expect he's coming home in the next couple of days... they're just watching him, he's not hooked up to anything or on any meds other than his usual stuff...

Sure seems like a crap shoot with doctors sometimes... they want to help, you've got to believe that, but man... some of the basic mistakes just mess with your mind sometimes.. I saw a thing on 60 mins or dateline last week I think on someone that have a 9inch or 12inch retractor in his belly for a couple years.. geez... one doctor told him to keep it there if it wasn't causing problems ..

Sorry to hear about your dad Mellow I tell you getting old ain't for sissies for sure. You wonder sometimes when you get a surgeon if he knows his stuff from now on I ask questions if they don't want to answer them I go elsewhere. My folks are in their 80's and they certainly have their problems also. I wish I could spend some time there to help but right now that is just impossible hopefully they understand cause we are pretty close.
Tell your Pop to hurry up and get well, our prayers are with him.
