Date of visit:
September, 2004

Weather:
Cool and comfortable at night but warming up during the day, very nice weather. You're by the coast and for this guy from Texas is could have been storming and I would have still been happy.

Campground Condition:

This is a small campground.
The individual sites are small but nothing out of the ordinary - there were not many people at this park.
There are NO showers at this campground - everyone at the site said to go to Morro Bay State Park and there were pay showers there. I wanted a shower but I was only there one night so I put it off until the next day. The bathroom was basically an upgraded port-a-potty, but again, okay for a stop.
The park roads are nice. The road up to the campground is short but very scenic, look out for horses as I guess many take rides in this area.Area Riding:
You are along the coast so all the riding here is great. If you've never been to the coast this is a great place to start.

The bay near this site - Spooner's Bay - did not have many people and the sunset was incredible.
