Looks like REI is going to be having a big labor day sale starting on Friday the 25 August. I was in there to get a new sleeping bag and the Clerk told me I should wait until Friday as it would be about $50.00 cheaper and the pad would be $20.00 cheaper. REI is good place to shop don't you think.

I got a really good deal on a Mountain Hardwear Tent Model Haven-3. List for $375.00 paid $249.00 from Outdoor Outlet in Utah. REI said they couldn't touch that price. I got the Footprint from REI as this other company did not carry the Footprint. The Internet is great. It's the only way I can get a good enough deal on some of this stuff to be able to afford to PLAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the heads up on the sale. And yes the www is the only place for the best $ even if you just use it as leverage. I just bought tires from a local, after getting SWmoto prices and showing them to the owner he matched them (rear -$30/front -$15 from earlier local price) and free mounting!

Just bought a Mountain Hardwear Hammerhead 3 for my wife and I. We'll try it out here shortly. Looks like a very well made tent.

Glad to see you got a good deal on a tent, Alicia. I was going to post about the REI Labor Day sale but you beat me to it. Based on the flyer they sent me it's going to be a good sale!
