This is more about a friend of mine than a ride, But the ride was fantastic too. I don't know if anyone that you ever rode with a friend that stood out as special, but I think you know the bond you have with someone that thinks just as you do. Enjoy the same things, the same food, rides the same, likes the same roads. The kind of guy that you can't wait to stop, and say , HOW AWESOME WAS THAT??. and know he will agree. Well I have such a friend, His name is Jim. Jim"s wife is having major problems with cancer. Jimmy never leaves her side. She ask me if I could take him on a long over do ride.She said he is starting to burn out. She has had a few good days, and her daughter is off work for two days.She even offered to pay.( GOD BLESS HER). Well we left Thursday, and returned home Friday.Almost 800 miles later.WOW was that awesome, Even tough I stop in and see him everyday, Its not the same as a ride like that.I had told him of roads I traveled without him and we hit them all. He thought they were as great as I did.I find it odd that two people traveling on two different bikes could have such a bond, with out ever saying anything.
If you don't have a friend like this, I hope you find one. If you have one, do what you can to keep them. It does not get better than that..
