We stayed at the Red Lodge KOA in Montana for one night last week. It was rather convenient to Bear Tooth Pass. The cost was about $ 30.00 for the three of us ... a little expensive but included hot showers and a swimming pool which brightened my daughter's mood considerably :)

There are several areas to tent camp ... right near the pool, near a small stream, or along the back of the campground (which is quietest and is where we camped). Overall the campground was fairly quiet. It was also clean and well kept up. The campground is about 5 miles outside of town ... so you have to ride to get there.

We stayed there also about 3 weeks ago. Stayed in a camping cabin because of rain and 34 degrees. Woke up the next morning and Beartooth Pass was closed because of snow. We ended up riding the pass a couple of weeks later on our way back through. I agree, the KOA was nice and the camping cabins are also nice for bad weather. It's not far out of town.
