Can't lay claim to this one, got it from Sink (Jay) at ST-Owners. He fixed it at Kim's Celbration Of Life last month. I fixed it at NatSTOC (only a 1/2 recipe, should'a gone full boat.

APPLE PIE BAKED BEANS

2 (16 oz) cans pork and beans
½ c. Heinz catsup
1 lb. Ground sausage
1 can apple pie filling
1 medium onion, chopped
½ green pepper
½ c. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. Mustard (prepared)

Brown sausage, onion and green pepper. Mix in remaining ingredients. Bake at 325º for 1 hour. Serves 12

I used Hunts baked beans, left out the worcestershire and catsup but the rest as noted. Yummmm.

I didn't get to try George's batch but I can vouch for the recipe. When I first heard of the ingredients I thought, "Eew, Yuck!" Unfriggin' believeable just how good it was! George, I heard the discussion but didn't bother to take down the recipe. Thanks for posting.

They were good. I carried them over to the dinner & made sure to get close enough to the front of the line so I could get some.

I am definitely trying this! Thanx!! When my mom passed away, her famous baked beans recipe went to her grave...

Just wanted to say that I made this recipe as a dish to pass for a family Christmas dinner and it was a big hit :D

Everyone liked it and gobbled it all up. Definitely a keeper P^
