I have a few sleeping bags some are down and others synthetic, they both have their advantages and disadvantages. Down pack well and keep you warm if kept dry. Synthetic keeps you warm even if wet but does not pack as well. I found a new synthetic bag at REI that packs like a Down and keeps you warm. I have used it for a year now and have no complains. Comes with a light nylon compression stuff sack and large cotton muslin.

Looks nice but down is not recommended when travelling to damp climates and the PNW can be damp....I have to get 1 that works for the worst case scenario climate to aid in my comfort...

I read it but was answering to some other comment..I don't like mummy bags..getting a barrel bag but I don't want a bulky one if that is possible..getting it on our side from MEC also..will have to call them about it as I don't want a surpise when it is shipped to see that it takes up too much space in a bag either...lots to think about when buying a bag..

They're like a coffin to me. The Hog Park is more like a bed.

A mummy bags will keep you warmer than the standard bags if used right. When you move with a mummy bags it moves with ya so you don't have cold spots to reheat. LOL

But I also need a barrel bag so Georgia can feel right at home tunneling around just like the lil b*gger does in my bed! She has so much fun doing that! HAHA!!
