We took a couple of baking potatoes, sliced each into about 1/8 inch thick slices, spread some butter over the slices and put them back together something like a loaf of bread, wrapped them in some foil and placed them on the grill over the side of the campfire. Turned regularly and about 45 minutes later we had some very delicious grilled/baked potatoes. Very easy. Try it sometime.

I add a little garlic or other seasoning to it. Very easy to make with minimal mess.

Yep....

add some garlic, seasoned pepper, a little onion slices, real bacon bits, and some shredded cheese.....

Foil cooking is great camp food. Nothing like mixing ground beef, carrot slices, potato slices and corn with some ketchup and dry spices.....wrapping it all in foil (doubled over, just in case) and throwing it in the fire. Turn it every ten minutes or so and before you know it you have a great tasting meal. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

We've gone so far as to do foil cooking in the charcoal grill at home every now and then. Mmm-mm-mm.
