Howdy Future Amigos!!

I just left San Diego, a few days ago. I use deployments to research, educate, and explore stuff I can't seem to make time for when I'm at home. I've done quite a few moto-overnighters with the Airheads in SoCal and a new group of non-brand specific riders called the Spokesmen. My K1100LT can haul plenty, but I'd rather ride my R65 so I'm trying to slim down my gear for those times. I'm also looking for my first dual sport bike so I don't bang my frames up so much. I can't resist fire roads, etc. I grew up in western PA riding Bultacos and Hodakas. I'm hoping my next assignment (on shore) will be SoCal or at least stateside; giving me ample opportunity to camp more. I have a hiking tent and sleeping bag with me now, so I can camp in all the countries that we stop to relax in. Sorry I can't post about them until after we visit. I look forward to arranging trips for visiting some of you, meeting some at points between, and hosting some of you wherever I am stationed. There's nother quite like kicking tires with like minded folks, cooking a good meal, and smoking a cigar under the stars.......especially without urban noise in the background. Next spring the journey continues.
