Just received my renewed passport and I have ten days to myself starting on Sunday. My loose plan is to drive from St. Paul MN to the Sault Ste Marie area the first day, follow the coast to Bad Axe MI and on to Flint MI the second day, and cut across Canada to Niagra the third day. That leaves me with plenty of time to sight see and get back home via Cleveland OH to Chicago and back to MN. Other than IL, these are states I have not yet traveled as I try to hit all of the lower 48 over the next few summers. Any "must sees" or "stay clear ofs" along this route?

I was going to stay on the U.S. side in MI and then head south toward Flint. I was planning on following the lower part of the lake while heading east. Saw Bad Axe on the map and just kind of liked the name of it was all :)
