Looks like a lot of hard work George! I'm not a fan of the neon, but I hope the owner appreciates how time consuming it is to install cleanly. I helped put a set of Lizard Lights on a friends Heritage under the tank and he asked if we really had to remove the seat, tank, etc. I told him only if you want it to look right! :p

That looks great!

Can you use those while on the road like we can here in PA?

I'm willing to bet that there are more lights than miles on that bike.

Here is Wisconsin, blue and red strobes are reserved for emergency vehicles only, and amber ones are supposed to be used at speeds below 30 mph, though that doesn't seem to get enforced much.

I seem to recall something about they can't go on and off, only dim/bright/dim. I may be mistaken on that.
For that matter, our legislators spend all their time passing meaningless bills, like the Official State Motorcycle, and the new anti-texting law that has exactly the same penalties as the inattentive driving law that the police had been using. It's possible they've passed a new law about colored lights since I started typing this.
Lately they spent hundreds of hours debating whether or not to censure a member who got three DUI's in less than a year. This, of course, after he announced that he would not be running for reelection come November.

So far I've got 12 red LEDs on the back of my DR.

I tied them into the brake light for extra light. P^

I do like the blue though.

I went a different route: I put dual LED's in my turn/running light nacelles, LED license plate bolts, a 2" dual LED in my taillight ($42 compared to $430 for the BAL) and if I didn't have a boxfull of cheap PAR 36 bulbs I got cheap on Fleabay, I'd put LED spots on. My reason was because I run the spots for safety (and the PAR 36 has a 30 degree beam spread) so I can be seen, I need the extra amperage headroom for the trailer lights and heated gloves and coat. I don't plan on being hit from behind or in front.

I cautioned him about flipping the lights on in town ...
Being bright blue lights ... I really don't think the police would see the humor in it, especially if the guy were to use the strobe mode ...

Ya, George would know about flashing lights and the local LEO's now wouldn't you George? :D

All this talk of LED lighting is making my idea of infrared lighting and wearing night vision goggles look stupid now.

Here's a couple of things I've done concerning lighting, to make my bike stand out more.

YouTube - LED Arrow signal lights on mirrors and flashing tour box side refector lights

YouTube - Signal Dynamics Back Off XP Brake Light Modulator

One of this winter's projects is to add some additional LED light strips to the back of the bike, that will light up and flash, when I hit the brakes.

With parts removal, attaching the lights, and wire up, I had
over eigth hours labor $$ wrapped up in it.
Actually, I had the first 100 installed, and thought he'd like it ... he saw the bike, and wanted more lights.
I put on 50 more ... then he was satisfied.

Why only 50 more...did he run out of money before you ran out of lights?
