Why didn't Garmin come up with that? Much better.

George that looks great! P^
I've been meaning to ask you about the power source for the GPS on Deb's bike. Did you hard wire or is she using a cigarette plug type connection? I've got to come up with a 12V outlet on the Road King. I'm thinking of using the extra accessory switch on the back of the headlight nacelle to get the power, and maybe use a quick disconnect like for a battery tender to unplug it when not using the windshield. I thought of just wiring up the windshield bag with a plug inside.
Any thoughts? :think1:

Thanks George, I may do both so I can run the GPS, charge the Cell and MP3 player. Michigan Camper's buddy had a neat plug hooked up to the windshield frame on his Softail.

Theres a guy on the zumo forums that sells a knurled screw that replaces the factory lock screw. I've got it on both my cradles. Still have to unscrew it, but it can be done with gloves on.

Ok I must be missing something here? I run the latch down and when I get off the bike I put it in my tour pack. If the latch is for theft protection it can be bent back real easy? The screw lock, the person would diffently have to be targeting a Zumo owner and have the special wrench? I'm I missing something?

It's rare, but the latch has been known to pop up when on rough roads.
I have the replacement screw/knob on mine.

When we left Hunt's (Chill Out) on Saturday to go into Tellico Plains, I had an exciting moment when I looked down and saw that my clamp wasn't totally engaged on my Zumo...Caught the Zumo just about 2 1/2 seconds after it left the bracket...a very long 2 1/2 seconds.. The bad thing is I have a device like "G" has on his that I got from a guy off ADV riders site. I just didn't lock the top down to engage the bracket. Some people are putting the small stick on cable tie downs on the back and attaching a tether line...just in case.

Like I said it makes sense, man what a way to ruin a vacation as your Zumo goes sliding down the road. Bad enough one time I put in in the rear tour packa and for got, by the time I got home and looked it had a scratch in it from rubbing on something in the pack. So now I have this 1/2 scratch, %#%$#$ !!!
