Rising Fawn, GA 30738

GPS Coordinates (N34 49.798 W85 28.933)

Date of visit:
September 2000 and November 16-19 2001

Weather:
First time there (September) the weather was just right for sleeping. In November the Temperature on the Mountain was cooler but not cold. Funny thing was it was warmer at the campground then in the valley below. The Humidity is low in the area, so your tent will be dry in the morning.

Campground Condition:

This is a good size campground with 73 Tent and 30 walk-in campsites. All sites are very well kept and the people working there were super nice. .
The park roads were in excellent condition.
The bathroom facilities were clean but do not recall if there were showers.Area Attractions:
There are things to do in the area but both times it was just a sleeping stopover. Area Riding:
The ride up the mountain was real nice but did not do any riding in the area. If you know some good roads around the park let us know.

Here's a few more of the park that might give an idea what the sites are like. The next time I get there I'll try to take some better pics.
