Cowboy5 and I got a surprise the other day in the form of a new sleeping bag! My retired Marine cousin picked us up a Snug Pak Jungle bag that was on sale in his local PX. I haven't actually had the chance to field test it yet but it seems like it will be a great sleeping bag for summer use. It has a comfort rating of 45 degrees, and a survival rating of 36 degrees. I did get in it and zip it up, the zipper works great with no snagging or other issues. I'll get back to you all after a summer rally I'm going to in early June where I'll actually get to sleep in it.

It has a neat feature of a mosquito net that you can zip over your face or roll down and tie off out of the way. It packs down smaller than a coconut according to the web site, and comes with it's own compression bag. I have to say I think I could get it down to almost the size of a softball if needed.

I think the netting would be a great feature for folks like Mr. Guy who sleeps on the ground with no tent while out on the trail! P^ I think it would also be a good feature for folks who use a hammock and didn't want to have to put up a large net in situations where there are a lot of flying critters about.

I'll update this after a little use, here is a link to their site.

More like a trade, but I think I got the better end of the deal! :D

Very nice. I like that it can be opened into a quilt.

BTW- A large hammock net can also be used when fishing... ;)

Bob,
Was wondering ... ... Would you use the hammock net to cover yourself to keep the mosquitoes off, or would you use it to net fish?
