Is the silver a base coat, or is it the final color?

That's the final color, it's a late model Jaguar, Liquid Silver Metallic.

I thought the same thing as you, as much as I like the silver, it would make a beautiful base to lay some candy and pearl over.

He's liking the silver, I think it will photo better once it's out in the sun, I have to admit I like it myself. I don't think you could talk him into blue, his last two bikes were blue!

My buddy Mike called me Friday about noon and said he was going to work on his bike, so I headed over to his garage. When I got there he had made some parts to attach his saddle bag lids and I got busy making a battery hold down tab. He asked if I thought we could get it ready to make the local bike night that was a few hours away. So we got busy and got it ready to go. Over the winter he is going to finish all the little details, and add a batwing fairing that is very similar to the stock Harley fairing. He was chomping at the bit as he hasn't ridden since last November!

Here's a few pics. Nope, we didn't have time to clean it up, it still has dust all over it. :lol:
