First let me say that I have been a lurker for several months now. All of the information on this site has been very helpful. Thanks to all. The co-pilot and I have made some lengthy MC trips but always stayed at hotels, etc. We have a two week trip planned to Maine this summer and we decided to jump in to the MC camping world two feet first. We just purchased a new (to us) 2003 Leesure-Lite pull behind camper and I brought it home yesterday using my truck. I will be pulling it with my 06 Road King. I am now getting ready to put on my hitch and wire up the lights. Hopefully I can do a dry run this weekend. My brother pulls a camper with his Wing and he told me NOT to take the wife along for the first trip . If something went south she would never want to ride while pulling again. Seems to be good advice. Once I get my unit cleaned up and hooked to the RK I will post some picks and update my sig and profile. Again I would like to say thanks to everyone for such a great site and "Keep the dirty side down".

Welcome to the adventure we call motocamping. We've been doing it for 8 or so years and like it. We're also not afraid to use a motel when needed.

Welcome to the forum! I drug mine around about 300 miles just riding around the area before I loaded the "cruise director" on and the biggest thing I learned was you need about 35 lbs on the tongue ,cause it pulls WAY better....Nose around in here and find everything you want to know ..if you dont see it ask ...It`s a good bunch! Cmon down to "the Chill Out"!

Welcome to the group. Thats a good idea to tow it solo until your comfortable. As you have seen by lurking about there are years of riding and camping experiance here and a good group of folks. I hope you enjoy your new found interest.....
