Hi All,
I just wanted to start my thread of my trip to the Chill Out. Black and Blue arrived from California today and we'll be headed out in the morning.

We're going to get there by way of Arkansas and Kentucky. If you happen to see a bike like this, it may be me.

I'll send pics home for Jeff to post up here, but the rest of the report will have to wait till I get back home.

And they're off!
I rode with them into Prague, and broke off to grab gas and come back home (darn school...).
Colleen seemed to be rather timid about our gravel county roads. :P

Is it true or is the grapevine wrong. I heard you put pontoons on your 650 and changed your name to DeSurferziggy76. Just funnin'. ;) Everyone ride safe and enjoy the sites and sounds.
Was able to get my ST from storage yesterday and now can ride. More pictures please.

Well, apparently they didn't make it all the way to Mammoth Springs like they had been hoping to on the first day. Taking in the scenery and all.
But (forgive me if I remembered this wrong) they have stopped over night somewhere in south western Arkansas, past Eureka Springs I believe.
The only pic I got tonight:

Anybody else notice no gravel dust on the tires? :P

Hmm... I think I know what it is... Project X! Mwuhahaha! :D
After a day of riding through thunderstorms, they decided to camp it out rough here...

Where ever 'here' is. I'm going to take a guess and say likely within the north eastern quarter of Arkansas... P^

That wasn't the secret, but I didn't know about that! They kinda forgot to tell me that on the phone today........Maybe they just stopped to check the weather forecasts. :lol
Oh the shame! :o

Albeit, I'm sure most people here know this already, but, to keep up with my job :p, they all made it to Steve's safe and sound.

Well, made it home today. Ran into some real nasty thunderstorms near Little Rock Ar. yesterday. Give me a couple of days to get some pics up, I got my camera wet and want to give a couple of days to try and dry it out. I had a great time and meet some new great friends and caught up with some old ones.

Well, we made it to Shawnee, OK. Right now trying to get a hold of Guy so we can meet for pie,:cake1: or cake. We are still wet from that last thunderstorm :storm1: in Arkansas. Trying to get cleaned up for the rest of the way home. We had a great time at the Chill Out. Met a lot of great people again...we think we saw Trailace and Mellow, but it could have been a dream.:D Hope everyone got home okay.

Why in the world would you stay in Shawnee when you know I'm just a few miles up the road? Oh well. :)
Sorry I lost you guys in that rain, I saw you in the mirror, it started raining hard and when I could see again, you were gone. I thought you were just smarter than me and stopped. Guess not.
See ya again soon I'm sure, Guy

Well the cameras dead, but the pics were on the card so here we go.
Let's go back to the beginning, Black and Blue were to arrive on Friday the 7th, but after riding through horrible winds in eastern NM, Texas and west OK, they stayed an extra day in Clinton OK and arrived here on Saturday:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S-Wc83G0urI/AAAAAAAABPc/N98kZrP6S_0/s720/PICT0359.JPG
On Sunday morning we headed out, rode I-40 to AR and then I lead them on a ride through some of my favorite riding roads, NW Arkansas.
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KS5V0LhzI/AAAAAAAABTY/PfGXuFcIiMU/s720/PICT0360.JPG
We rode N on AR23 and I took them over to Oark for lunch. Colleen was sure I was going to leave them for dead on some back country road they wouldn't be able to find their way out of, but I didn't. :D
After lunch we went back to AR23 and headed north to Eureka Springs. A pic of one of the springs:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSbAOzx5I/AAAAAAAABR8/3xbOhB0qMV4/s720/PICT0362.JPG
Leaving Eureka, we rode east on US62 toward Harrison and north on US65 to camp at a US-Army Corp campground on Table Rock Lake.

About 10:00 it started to RAIN and THUNDER and it kept up till 1:00 the next day. Which lead to the dreaded motel stay. We were all soaked and cold and I was shivering too at this point. Time to warm up and dry out.
http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1314/4596902378_5b99abe558_o.png
I got no other pics of this day. The next day we made it into Kentucky.
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSvf99nuI/AAAAAAAABTA/PTxNUdmCCOw/s720/PICT0373.JPG
And on to Ironheadziggy's house. I then found out that his wife wasn't really Godzilla. She's actually very nice, I think it's just Steve that drives her crazy.
On Wednesday, Gwizz and Mrs. Wizz arrived and George set up his trailer to a huge crowd:
http://lh3.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KR_iFu3OI/AAAAAAAABQ0/lw0EOeLoqgw/s720/PICT0382.JPG
This trailer is pretty nice and I can see one in my future someday a few years down the road.
On Thursday morning we left Steve's place and headed to Tennessee. On the way there we met up with Dan1551 and his wife Alisa:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSYlI5ioI/AAAAAAAABR0/Atg4seW9oY4/s720/PICT0386.JPG
I love the paint on that Harley. Then later arriving at our home for the next few days.
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KRuutLYuI/AAAAAAAABQM/49bz-_TKx80/s720/PICT0388.JPG
There's already a review up about this place and it's everything they say. Nice location, nice place. The owners are great too.
The next morning it was up and on to the Cherohala Skyway. Here we are at one of the turnouts:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KRwB9T02I/AAAAAAAABQQ/CpPoRhOxvj8/s720/PICT0389.JPG
It was Moodygne in the lead with Dan1551 with Alisa, Steve, Colleen, Guy, Ernie, Deb and Bob's bike in a line and George's bike out front.
Here's the only pic I took on the Tail of the Dragon:
http://lh6.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSS_LUC9I/AAAAAAAABRg/4G8dPsGFneQ/s720/PICT0397.JPG
I was to busy riding faster than I should have to get pics. But I made it back down and got this pic too. Notice I still have all the parts on my bike:
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSUfcM0sI/AAAAAAAABRo/fiWBYtgonNk/s512/PICT0398.JPG
Everyone seemed to have their cameras out that day:
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSXYJdc4I/AAAAAAAABRw/o3Fuieq_qUo/s720/PICT0400.JPG
The next day was a lazy day. Hang around camp, visited Tellico Plains, getting ready to head the 870 miles back home on Sunday. Lot's of talking and BSing going on:
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KShUSYVjI/AAAAAAAABSQ/3bRIJo9KsIg/s720/PICT0404.JPG
http://lh5.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KSyMricPI/AAAAAAAABTI/mV91bi_-wn8/s720/PICT0414.JPG
All in all a good time. Then on home and more rain and thunder:
http://lh4.ggpht.com/_eAeUVzxF-uc/S_KRxWvwLHI/AAAAAAAABQU/USdkABAlV3U/s720/PICT0422.JPG
The last pic I took was at a rest stop in Tennessee. No more the rest of the way home.
It was so good to see friends I knew and to meet new friends I'll see again in the future. I had a great time and am looking forward to the next campout.
Everyone take care, Guy

It was fun as far as riding is always fun, but I've had more fun riding before. When not raining, riding with Black and Blue was fun though.

People may look at it funny, but I'm having to much fun to care. LOL
I just keep thinking that my "little" thumper travels more and farther than a whole lot of "touring" bikes out there.
Colleen riding in the rain? NO, say it ain't so! LOL
