To go along with Mellow’s review of the Exponent Lantern, here’s the Exponent Mini Headlamp. Man is this thing nice! Super light and really bright. I've used it now on my last couple of outings and it's a big improvement over my last headlamp. I love the fact that it's 75 Lumens and as compact as they come. The switch has a high and low setting as well as an emergency strobe. Hope I never need to use that! I guess that part of the reason it's so light is because it only takes one little lithium battery (CR2). The downside is that only gives you about 2 1/2 hours on the high setting and 6 on the low. Also, the CR2 battery may not be as easy to come by as AA's.
Retail price is 39.99 but I've seen them around for nearly half that.
