Metal frame camping cot from Campmor.com -

This cot turned out to be a pretty good buy. I use it with a wal-mart self-inflating mattress and a North Face Cat's Meow mummy sleeping bag.

1. Setup is pretty straightforward if clumsy. Each side bar is inserted into the canvas through sewn-in tubes and the legs are sprung into holes drilled into the side bars. Installing the legs is very much like trying to string a bow.

2. Size: The 24 inch width is very limiting if you don't use a mummy sleeping bag. You'll find your arms falling off with no support unless you have gear bags placed on either side.

3. The reason I bought this cot is to keep my sleeping gear out of the water should the tent floor leak(yes I've been there), for that purpose it works great and it's cheap.

IMO, maybe get another tent, like a bathtub type unless you're worried about condensation. Its just one more thing to bring on a vehicle with limited space
