First post and first Moto camping adventure. Left home ( Ridgeland, SC ) with the group Star Riders at 6 am, Rode to Greenville SC, about 250 miles, Temp started out in the high 30's but warmed as they sun came up. After the meeting in Greenville I took off one my own and headed for Greenwood State Park. Great ride through the country. Arrived at greenwood just before 5pm. As I was setting up camp I took a mental note of all the things that I should bring the next time, I had just purchased a new one man tent and after setting it up I realized that it was very small. Loaded my gear into the tent and made a short ride to the nearest town for a pre-made meal. Back at camp the light disappeared and the only thing to do was retire for the night. Note to self, aways carry a book for those long evenings. Slept fine, probably from the 350 miles and cool air. Rain started at 7 am, so I packed up for the 150 mile ride home. The new V-strom I was riding handles the roads, gear and me quite well. All in all it was a great first experience. Will try to post pictures as I learn this site.
Happy motoing

Way to get the ball rolling Dave. Perhaps a bit more about the park? Only 2 hrs from Augusta. Thanks.

Good looking Strom Dave, I love that color. P^ How do you like the beads on the seat? When I bought my Wee the previous owner had installed a Corbin seat. It might be better than the stock seat for some, but I guess I don't have a Corbin butt, or it's broke in to the previous owner's backside. :p

Found that the beads were not a comfortable as I thought they would be, they also increased the seat height which with a 30" inseam I didn't need. Took them off for now but will try in the hot weather for cooling. They do relieve some of the pressure points if you slide around on them. Time will tell.
