I left last Tuesday afternoon from the Kansas City area for a trip around the U.S. that will last until the end of July. I have camped everynight so far.
I was in Pearland, Tx camping at a Valkyrie event there and wound up meeting Trailace and LAT at the event and camped with them.
I am now heading for San Diego and then up the coast to Vancouver B.C. I will be spending a month or so in Washington State before heading to make a swing through the New England states. I will be camping all the way.
The first two pictures were at Natural Falls State Park in Colcord, OK and the third one was at Martin Creek Lake State Park near Tatum, Tx.

Clint it was great meeting and talking with you this weekend. Your trailer looked excellent set up down by the pond. I hope you missed all that rain we had today were did you end up tonight?
Make sure you keep us updated as much as you can on the road and if you need something let us know. Have fun and be safe.

When you get nearer to WA State, let us know and I'm sure a few of us will fill your camping suggestion box. We have many varied and beautiful camping spots. You'll be hitting it at about the right time.

I didn't leave Pearland until 2:30 PM as I thought I had waited out the storm. Only rode 20 miles until I hit another thunderstorm and rode on over to Ganado, TX and set up camp there.

Clint,
On your way back east, if you travel through Michigan, you're welcome to pitch your camper here. Nice camp site, & a hot shower. We also have facilitys for tire changes and bike repairs if needed, with a mechanic on duty 24/7. (me). Might even be able get the cook (Deb) to fix ya up with a hot home cooked meal too P^

Not to speak for Clint, but he was in an accident in CA (I think). He got taken out by an older couple where the elderly driver fell asleep as he passed Clint. Luckily, Clint was ok except for a few bumps and bruises and a little road rash. Can't say as much for the bike and trailer. You can see complete posts on the accident over at www.valkyrie-owners.com (http://valkyrie-owners.com/SMFORUM/index.php?PHPSESSID=e71fe079100c248f98c98729ee79fe 9b&topic=9111.0).

HotGlue clued me in some when I was asking him Clint's name and asking about the trip. Yes, I am terrible with names. Sorry Clint. We did get in a couple of good visits at the bbq.
Absolutely amazing you came out of that as well as you did. One look at the photos - thanks Joe - and we can all be thankful for a pretty good end to the story. Hopefully no long term tendons and ligaments to heal in your future, Clint! I can tell you all about that bad stretch of road.
Let us know how you are doing. ~Jeff

Thanks for all the thoughts. I was very fortunate to not have any worse injuries than I got. My ribs are still sore and my abrasions are healing nicely.
I did find a deal on a 2007 Timeout camper this weekend and drove from Indep., Mo. to Lincoln, NE today to pick it up. Haven't settled with the insurance yet but couldn't pass this deal up. Will probably be camping with the car and the timeout until I settle with the insurance and then decide about another bike.

Glad to hear you are doing well! As the old saying goes, you can always get another bike. P^
