Caddo Lake

I was thinking about plannig a trip to Cado Lake S.P. in Texas. Does anyone have any camping experience at this lake?

Caddo Lake has some pretty camping areas and Jefferson Tx is a neat little biker friendly town. on the Texas side. Not much on the Louisiana side though. Also, Lake of the Pines, just North of Marshall is a good one.

Camped out at Caddo Lake State Park last summer, and really didn't like it. It might be OK in cooler weather, but the sites were nestled down in the woods, and there was little to no breeze to cool us off.

I have camped at Lake O' the Pines near Jefferson, and the sites there were much nicer with views of the lake. Much better choice IMHO.
