I just realized I never introduced myself. What a jerk I am!!

I'm Rob, better known as Zixxer, or Zixx, from Tomah WI. I ride a '95 ZX-6R currently. I'm an avid sport-tourer, and have been on ST.N for quite some time(previously Sportrods on there).

I've done minimal camping, but am really getting into the moto-camping. I average about 50k miles a year, so being able to camp when out of town will be a huge savings!!

Anyhow, hello, and sorry for the late intro!

Hi Zixxer,
I'm Doobage. I've waited a long time to get my bike and finally picked up one last year (ST1300). I have yet to really meet a significant number of my kind (sport-tourers or campers), but hope to get some balance with that over the next year.

I live down south of Houston and work at NASA. It takes a few miles to get to anything scenic, and it takes about 3 hours to get to anything that isn't a straight road.

I'm interested in just about everything, so feel free to write me anytime.

Nice to virtually meet you.

Hey Zixxer, I live in WV and have been Sport touring and camping for quite some time now. I live in the middle of twisties, average about 20K a year (until last year accident set me back) and think that riding and camping were made for each other. I now have a 04 ST 1300.

Welcome, Zixxer! We're all pretty well scattered around the country. I'm in So. Calif. averaging about 25K on my '05 ST1300. Just getting back into motocamping. The motorcycle has been a constant for almost 30 years but I haven't used it for camping since the kids grew up.

Good people here. Welcome to the site.

Last summer in June, I was heading home (Michigan) from Washington state and traveling east on I-94. I was planning on visiting a distant cousin in Nekoosa, WI and the expressway exit to get there was Tomah, so I was able to visit your home town. The whole exit area at Tomah was torn up with construction and the signage was so bad because of the construction that I ended up heading the wrong direction out of Tomah! This is one of the few times that I was saved by my compass mounted on my dash, so I only wasted about 10 minutes.

Are they done? Can I come through this summer and not get lost?:)
